Children play with sand differently and learn different things from sand play as they grow. Sand play is valuable for children from toddlerhood through the school-age years. Sand play gives children a chance to explore science concepts like wet and dry, volume, pouring, and sifting in a hands-on way. Also it helps children develop in three areas: physical, cognitive, and social-emotional.

We know that children play for hours if they are in the sea-shore. The child in the photo was carried away so much with playing sand in Yalikavak/Bodrum that I wanted to frame it.

sanirim flas kullanmissin ve bu cok tuhaf bir etki yaratmis, sanki 1960lardan kalma fotograflar gibi gorunuyor. bu da bana aysegul serisini hatirlatti, hatta benim fotografimdan daha bile fazla yakisirmis o kitaplara. kompozisyonun, netligin ve isik kullanimin yine cok iyi. tebrikler.

işte bir çocuk olmakla bir yetişkin olmak arasında ki fark.
biri manzarayı umursamadan kumların keyfini çıkarırken, yetiştin olan manzaraya takılmış bir vaziyette fotoğraflarla uğraşmakta, eline böyle kare çekme imkanı geçincede, fırsatı kaçırmadan çekiyor tabii...

Hello Didem,

The use of flash works well to make the little fellow stand out in this fine composition!
I will imagine this is a very difficult situation to leave behind at bedtime, hehehe...
Lovely colours and fine details, the surf adds a fine diagonal!
