I suspect that, taken to this location, a lot of photographers would try to make use of those arches somehow. But I don't think this is a cliche, Gordana. You had a lot of choices, and you made a specific one that creates a distinctive impression--you centered the arches near the edge of your frame, and you took the shot when a child was there looking out at the water. That means the shot is not just about arches, it's also about gazing and contemplation. So you took full advantage of the artistic possibilities and got something creative and reasonably unique.

If you want real cliches, then shoot sunsets, and reflections in puddles on the street!

And what is the cliché? The little kid in it?
The composition with cutting off the walkway surely is not cliché. Taking him straight from behind with the walkway in symmetry, that would have been quite cliché, but this is interesting!
It's like a cage, some freedom at the end, but even there is a gate or a fence or how you like to call it. Not thát much cliché to me!! ;-)

Zdravo Gordana. An eye catching composition- not because of some cliches hidden in it (I cannot see them), but because of its arresting graphic qualities. What I like in particular are the strong lines and strong light which convey symmetry and asymmetry at the same time. There is symmetry in the arched bars, especially in the nicely composed upper left corner.The asymmetrical aspects are the daring cutting of the composition on the right, with the vanishing point disappearing out of the picture, so that our eye is simultaneously directed to the"opening" and is at the same time prevented from going through it both by the boy and the missing half. Zdravo Gorde, mnogu kreativna fotka, a i B&W izvedbata e mnogu dobro obrabotena, ima dobar kontrast

Excellent B&w! The graphic effect is really nice, well thought framing and excellent composition including the boy on the background.Its not a cliche, you dealt with your subject in a very creative way.

I think TE will like it.
But personally I like it very much. Nice graphical lines and the human subject makes it live. The width of the frame is clever - it supports the lines perfectly.
