[Ligne directrice - Note] Note du photographe
In 1990 we flew back from Whitehorse in the Yukon and I was fortunate to be able to get a few shots of Vancouver from the air. At the top is North and West Vancouver, the Lions Gate Bridge is on the upper left and the green space is Stanley Park. We had huge winds in Nov 2005 and many of the trees that are visible here were lost. The main downtown core makes up the bottom half of the image.

Hi Phil,
I don't get it... 72 visits so far and no points?
Beats me!
Well, I more than like what I see. The view is splendid, so is the overall quality, so are those blues. I wish I could come upon a shot of this caliber while flying. So far I never did...
Have a good day, see ya soon.
Fulvio.

Super super detail!! I had heard that the trees in Stanley Park were knocked down in the storm. Such a shame! This is an amazing shot from a plane. Good job! TFS

Hi Phil,
These views are always great and give a view on a city we seldom see. In 4 weeks i land here, really looking forward to it and i hope it will be a great trip...TFS/
Regards, Henk

Hello Phil! It is always impressive if a plane takes off or makes the landing procedure over town and gives us a little guess work trying to find out which building belongs to what or even seeing the house you live in etc. Fascinating to see the skyscrapers now small and "harmless" although it looks pretty crowded down there to say the least :) Interesting photo indeed, you had a good and fast eye. Take care, Barbara.

Phil Hi:
Very well done and educational, I like your composition. Thanks for the note, as well.
Congratulations, for teaching about our world with this image.

You have managed to get a good clear view from the plane window. It's wonderful to see so much of a famous city in one image. I hope to go there some day.

Hi Phil,
Beautiful look down on the grand city with the silver and blue skyscrapers framing the lovely blue harbor.
Excellent details subtle colors to this fine image.

HI Phil
Impressive aerial view of Vancouver. We can recognize the most popular building located downtown. Although the picture is old, details and colours are excellent. Thanks for sharing.
Best regards
Denis!

hi Phil

This is such incredible aerial shot with good clarity and very well composed to show the layout of Vancouver proper. Amazing quality from 1990 and you had already shown great composition and photography then.
