Photographer’s Note

Sunset over partially frozen Kauno Marios - artificial lake near Kaunas.
Taken at 16:11 around sunset time at that time of year. Location - rest area on the Kaunas-Vilnius road near Grabuciskes village.
Camera settings: AV mode, ISO-200, -1 Ev exposure compensation.
Converted from Raw with color temperature set to 4000K. Increased saturation of yellow and orange colors.

Although, being from a southern country, I prefer summer sunsets, this one is great. I like the way you placed the sun at the right side.

Beautiful colors and great sharpness. however, i'm not sure the vertical orientation is the best for shooting sunsets.
The RAW conversion is very good too.

Hi Linas,
I like the glistening effect of the sun on the ice. Attractive tonal range change of blues. A great many layers. The three channels make an interesting foreground. A cool photo with with nice soft sky & clouds. Regards. Latiff.

PS: WS is nice too but with different focal points ... my eyes are drawn to the black shapes in the water rather than the FG as here.

Oh, it seems very cold Linas! You have captured the feeling of winter in northern latitudes well. Nice to look at, but dress for the occasion.
