Photographer’s Note
This picture was taken in Kangerlussuaq, Greenland in February. During this time temperatures frequently get down to minus 40 degrees celcius/fahrenheit. The weather can change with very short notice making winter a treacherous time for hunters and hikers alike. Kangerlussuaq is the town in Greenland with the least overcast days which means that the Northern Lights can be spotted on most nights during the winter. Due to the proximity to the ice cap there is a constant wind blowing towards the coast. The haze that hovers above the mountains is the result of this wind. One can enjoy dog sledding and trips to the ice cap on a trip to Kangerlussuaq during the winter.

This photo seems a bit other-worldly, but then again it is Greenland. I like the way the land and the sky kind of blend together to make a pattern. This picture does seem a bit fuzzy. It might have been a good idea to sharpen the image. Other than that it is a great photo with a lot of feeling to it. One really gets the idea that the weather could change here any minute.
Welcome to TE, by the way.
