Un havre de paix dans Gent pendant les 'Gentse fieste', les célèbres fêtes de Gent qui attirent des centaines de milliers de visiteurs chaque année.
Photo de l'Augustijnenkaai (le quai des augustins) à quelques pas seulement du centre.
A quiet spot, only a few minutes away from the festive mood of the 'Gents Feesten' and the mass of visitors. This is a picture of the Augustijnenkaai (Quay of the Augustinians)

Bonjour John,
effectivement c'est vraiment havre de paix où il fait bon se promener .Les reflets des arbres dans le canal comblent bien un vide , il ne manque plus qu'un petit bâteau , mais on ne peut tout avoir .
Bel angle de prise de vue .

Bonjour John,
vraiment rien à dire sur la qualité de cette photon tant sur le plan technique que sur le sens artistisque avec le cadrage et le POV bien choisi.
Une super netteté, seuls les fleurs blanches de l'avant plan ont un peu souffert de la surexposition.

Hi John,
it's really a bright colourful sunny day! The red flowers along the waterway (canal?) emphasize the festive mood and brightness of the day :) And the trees and their reflection in the water create a nice balance of the composition.

Bonjour John,
Une ville que je ne connais pas et ta photo entre autres, me donne envie de la découvrir.
Un tout bon cadrage avec ces fleurs colorées. Le pov est bien choisi et les maisons du bout ferment l'image.

Hello John,

The fine light renders beautiful colours, where the flowers combine well with the sky, water and architecture!
Good point of view puts the canal nicely in the diagonal, and the reflection adds attraction value...

Dag John,

altijd goed eens een foto van mijn geboortestad te zien. Genomen met de rug naar de Gentse Feesten-drukte... De geel-witte bloemen zijn iets overbelicht, maar het is zeker geen drama. Een vredig tafereeltje midden in de stad.

Hi John,
very nice one here. The vertical format perfectly fits the compo with the canal leading the eye through the compo and adding a nice depth. The flowers in the fg are a nice spot to start with and well contrasted by the beautiful blue gradient of the sky. I like it.

j'aime bien ces photos faites au grand angulaire ce qui nous permet d'observer les moindres détails et croire pour un moment que nous sommes là - Clarté et netteté impeccables !
