Photographer’s Note

Your typical Irish castle in county Clare, surrounded by water and not easily accessible. I`m not entirely sure about location, but I think it was somewhere near Ballyvaughan, county Clare. This was shot from a bus on a tour of The Burren, on the way back to Galway, on the last day of our Irish adventure - so it was basically our last chance to admire the wonderful landscapes. - Besides Shannon airport, which is nice, but by no means all that special.

Hi Miha
Another nice shot from Ireland with excellent cloud formations and blue water. The castle is positioned well with natural greens representing the Emerald Isle.

Shannon airport is terrible by the way :-)

That's a very beautiful photograph!
A scene with a an old Irish Castle is always nice and in this one you have put on great colors, sharpness and pov! I like the way you put it right in the middle of the photograph with the sky in the upper half and the blue water and vegetation in the lower half!
Very pleasant! Very peaceful! Very relaxing!

The blue water is really very attractive when I look at this view, and it contrasts well with the FG green at each side of the river. The castle sits majestically on green pasture. I like this POV.

Hello Miha, Very nice colouring in this shot especially the incredible blue water, the castle is well positioned & contrast well against that interesting cloud formation. Ireland always looks so green. Very nice clear scene.

I agree with everyone else about the wonderful colors, typical Irish landscape and so on.

However, I have to point out that your picture is slightly tilted. And since you've added a frame, maybe you could have corrected this at the same time. This is all the more important considering the castle is the main feature in the picture.

So I made a workshop. To correct the vertical lines first, and also to bring back some life in the clouds. I used the contrast mask technic.

Copy of the main layer.
Adjust > Desaturate > Invert
'Overlay' as blending choice of the layers
Gaussian Blur 10Px
