Photographer’s Note

Hundreds of time visited and with thousand of pictures...I'm sorry, I couldn't resist neither.

This is probably, the most famous place in Venezia: The Piazza San Marco.

This time (did I get it??) I tried to take a different, unusual view. Where I took this picture from? Ah...really easy, from the Cathedral, in one of the corners of its terrace.

Hello Oscar,
Yes, for me you captured the architecture, the mood and the atmosphere perfectly.
Very hard to come up with an original angle for St Marco, this shot does that well.
Lovely sharp detail, superbly composed.
Bravo.

Good choice of vantage point for this view of the famous square, Oscar. Nice impression of depth and perspective from the diagonal pavement patterns and the shooting angle along the old building's façade. Greetings from Canada.

El punto de vista me agrada, porque tiene amplitud y profundidad, como siempre acompañado de numerosas personas y palomas.

I like the high viewpoint. It shows all the tourist activity on the piazza. Good perspective with long lines, and indeed not an obvious one.

I think you did, Oscar. Yeah, thousands of San Marco photos over here and there, some being taken from high POVs, but i had not seen it presented from this direction. Excellent details, daily life views, architectural perspective... etc. I like it a lot.

Pdv simatica con muchissima nitidez y profundidad. Muy colorida tambien. Veo unos amigitos de lo de la plaza Catalunya quien piensa que esta en Quintanilla del Coco.
Espero que las cosas iran mejor sin Robinho. Los Bresileños son todos iguales.

Me gusta tu foto mostrandonos
una ocupada esquina
llena de turistas entusiastas
impresionados por la exquisita
arquitectura de este edificio,
y tratando de tomar la major
foto de el lugar.
El mejor punto de vista lo tenías
tu para aprovechar desde la altura
de una escena típica veranera llena
de visitantes!

I was also stunned by the angle whişch seems to be in the middke oıf the square: Bu apparently you took it from near the horses, because teh cathedral is slightly more in the middle of the square than the Palazzo Ducale: I like the natural angle whşch shows the arcades and the people.

Muy bonita esta foto de la Plaza de S. Marcos en Venecia. Asimismo, la I, pero que no tienen ninguna imagen del interior de los edificios.

Pues en ese mismo lugar por poco cojo una neumonía, llovió a cantaros ese día que estuve ahí y cuando vi que se inundaba la plaza regrese al barco, vi poco de Venecia.
Me conformo con ver tus excelentes fotos que has tomado del lugar, la verdad que son muy buenas.
Pensar que estuvimos juntos con los buenos amigos Josep, Pili y Sergio solo hacen unos días,,,,lo que es la vida y sobre todo lo que hace TE.

Interesting point of view gives a strong diagonal in composition, and is well suited to show life on the piazza!
Lots of interesting details to explore, and I notice the ever present pigeons in large numbers...
Fine light and a well balanced composition!
