Posté sur ma colline, j'attends le lever du soleil mais voilà, beaucoup de brume, beaucoup de nuages...il peine à montrer le bout de son nez. Alors que je m'apprête à plier les gaules avec pas grand chose dans ma besace, un rayon vient frapper les collines avoisinantes. Ca n'a duré que 5 mns...mais ça valait le coup!

Perched on the hill, I'm waiting for the sunrise but well, lots of mist and clouds, it seems like I won't see anything. While I'm about to pack up and leave empty-handed, a ray of light starts hitting the nearby hills. It only lasted for 5 mns...but that was well worth it!

Bonjour Philippe,
quelle belle atmosphère, ces lumières de tout début de journée et ces brumes matinales, fines et bien dispercées. Elle accentue les plans et les diférentes altitudes.
Une exposition parfaites et des couleurs naturelles autant que séduisantes.

Hello philippe,

Bien sûr que cela valait le coup d'attendre ces 5 minutes de bonheur que tu nous fais partager avec cette prise aussi réussie que séduisante. Le balancement des lignes dans cette atmosphère douce et la progression des différents étages de lumière jusqu'au quasi effacement au fond sont remarquablement saisis sans excès d'aucune sorte pour majorer les effets.

Hi Philippe,
Yes it definitely was worth the wait....the mist enhances the appeal of the image, and the lighting captured on the hilltop is attractive against the misty background. I like the varying depth that you've captured...the different lines of hilltops creating seperate areas of depth. The tree is also well position in the frame. and is nicely contrasted against all else. Very well done.

Bonjour Philippe,

L'atmosphère qui se dégage de ta photo est fantastique à tous les sens du terme.
La brume, baignée par cette lumière chaude, est très bien saisie ici, et le dégradé de couleurs des collines superbe. L'arbre au premier plan meuble la photo et apporte un gros plus. C'est une vraie réussite !

Ta patience a été grandement récompensée. C'est absolument superbe !
L'ambiance qui se dégage de ta composition est fantatisque : on sent la fraîcheur du petit matin, l'humidité de la brume, la sérénité devant un paysage si grandiose.
La composition est elle aussi très bien pensée avec la succession de collines donnant du relief à l'image, et la qualité est remarquable.
Du beau travail, bravo.

Well, this is a superb image! The effect of the light and the mist is incredible, allowing us to see many, many layers of hills and fields as we look into the distance. The warm colour works very well too. I'm adding this to my favourites!

Ben ca valait le coup de se lever tot rien que pour voir cela, le soleil levant melange aux bancs de brume ca donne un tres beau tableau en ombres chinoises avec des silhouettes qui contrastent et de la profondeur par la succession des cretes.

Wow, how many levels you have here? The important is the way you managed the light from the first level in the foreground to the last in the sky. The mist/flog has an excellent clarity. The tree is very well positioned and is also a true eye catcher. Well done.

another great shot, Philippe, the vertical format works very well to emphasise layers of hills and fog. the golden light is magic (do you carry around bottles of it?can I get some?), and the tree adds just a right accent. great work, really great.
