Photographer’s Note

in Amsterdam train station, lots of passengers have their newspapers and just after find a seat in vagoon, start to read. I had plenty of time to observe this, because our train was 1 hour delayed.

hello Hakan,
excellent photo, I like a lot the strong graphic patters and the uniting "theme" of newspapers. I also agree with the choice of B&W, it certainly focuses attention on the content of the photo, instead of different colours of the clothes, for example. I probably would have cleaned up a bit the surface of the train (I'm guessing it is some sort of reflection right in the middle), but other than that - very well seen and presented, my compliments.

Very interesting view, revealing people with different worlds, fates, expressed by the ditinct mini-frames, but connected with sazme interest - His Majesty the Newspaper. Lower, upper classes read, in a hurry or for relaxation, men and women...

Graphical effect of your photo is makes this frame an enviable one. I like your excellent view of windows, while each one have passengers with newspaper. Working B&W medium already increased contrast of well sharpened lines and borders there. Congratulations.

ne güzel birşey bazıları için böyle yollarda zamanını değerlendirmek ama bazıları için ise yanındaki bile birşeyler okusa sorun olabiliyor. İlk baktığımda "güzel grafik ama bu ne?" olmuştum ama dikkat edince zeki hazırlanmış bir kugu olduğunu farkettim. Bir de korkutcan haklı o rakamlar tam da hıdırlıkmış :P

Hello Hakan,

What a remarkable combination of greatly arrenged shapes and simultanius shots of people's everyday lifes. To me it resembles the windows of a block of flats where everyone has his own story. But here the passengers have something in common without knowing each other. I believe the lack of colour stresses this fact.
