Photographer’s Note

Morskie Oko ("Eye of the Sea") is the largest lake in the Tatra Mountains. It is situated at the base of the Mieguszowieckie Summits, which you can see illuminated by the rising Sun. On the left upper corner there is the highest point in Poland - Rysy. In the next photograph you`ll see the panorama from the top :). And here you can see a little

A really beautiful photo of this wonderful landscape! A good low POV with the stones and rocks well included. The lake leads the eye nicely towards the large mountain peaks in the background. The golden light is really gorgeous too. Very well done and thanks for sharing!

My first thought here was Canada.I did not know that mountains like these exist in my neighbourcountry.

Beautiful light, razor sharp mountain edges and a low POV for the water. The rocks show stunning detail, really looks like a Western Canadian scene, goes to show you don't have to cross the Atlantic to get stunning scenery like this. Great shot, sublime colours.

The image conveys a strong alpine feeling, and if you asked me to guess I'd probably say somewhere in Western Canada, hehehe!
A beautiful sunrise atmosphere, where the chill from the night is still present but soon to be chased away by the rising sun...

The depth created by your choice of POV is amazing. Personaly i would choose for a bit more of DOF but i love the result.

Hi Henryk, I though Morske oko lies in Slovakia! And it´s true, but not in Tatras though in Vihorlat mountains in the "far east" of Slovakia.
Your capture of the beauty of this tarn and it´s surrounding is a masterpiece. From the composition, framing, choice of very wide lens to the amazing palette of colors - everything´s great. I like how my eyes are carried to the center from anywhere I look.

I didn't know you had landscape like this in Poland but then again, I've never been south past Krakow. Magical photo. Would look better with a neutral grad filter. Post-processing in the foreground is visible. Regards,

Like the mailman you deliver another gem of your beloved Tatra Mounatains.
What I appreciate in your work is the care you have composing your photos and way they are always so well in terms of light, you don't post to often but when you do it, bang!!! a great photo.
Of course the subjects you choose help you a lot as they are beautiful by themselves but you surelly take care to make them look even better.

The strip of light across the mountaintop is beautiful. This is a place I want to visit next time I am in Poland, 2010. The lake look wild and remote though I know this is a popular tourist spot. Good light, colours and details. The panoramic is excellent. Thanks Henryk :-)

Na TE jest wiele świetnych zdjęć, wspaniałych i artystycznych zdjęć ...
No i co z tego wynika...
W większości nic ...

Natomiast z Twoich zdjęć można by stworzyć piękny album o Polsce. Znakomicie reklamujący Polskę w świecie. Bo choć coraz bardziej widok "Kraju nad Wisłą" jest odległy od tego co widzimy na zdjęciach, to tak właściwie to liczy się to ... "PIERWSZE WRAŻENIE".

Wonderful shot Henryk. I love the light on the mountain tops and the way it is reflected in the water like a scattering of golden coins. The slopes in the mid-ground enclose the sunlit mountains beautifully.

This is a beautiful place. But your shot shows the lake and mountains around it in such a way that makes this place looking even more beautiful. I think this is because of the very good composition with Mieguszowieckie Summits, which are gilded with the rising sun, in the BG and the excellent FG. Great job!
