Photographer’s Note
I took a motorbike ride to a village approximately 30 minutes out of central Siem Reap, and stopped in at this low-key silk factory. The conditions didn't appear too bad. I don't know what this lady got paid, but this really put a face onto the paradigm a Westerner would have of fabric-production operations in developing Asian countries.
