The roofs of Obidos Photo

Photographer’s Note

I am glad that we drove all the way to Obidos, a charming town , north of Lisbon , reachable by the A8 ,which will remain forever in our memories.
There are great views from the castle and towards the castle, but on that morning, to my disappointment there was no sun. Most of my Obidos pictures are taken with dull weather. Nevertheless let's think I had the advantage of not having harsh whites, and dark areas , which also good. A philosphy for being happier.

Merhaba İzzet Bey,
çatılar harika bir grafiksel etki oluşturmuş. özellikle pencereler çok şirin duruyor. kapalı havaya rağmen çatılardaki yosunlar ile rengarenk bir fotoğraf olmuş.

bakış açısı o kadar iyiki sokağı adeta hissekmek ve görmek duygusunu yaşattırıyor... Benzer dokudaki çatıların dağınık yerleşimi, aradaki mavi kolonlar ve kolonlara paralel baca birlikte nefis bir ritm oluşturmuş...

Merhaba İzzet Bey,

Obidos karakteristik özellikleri itibariyle güneşli veya parçalı bulutlu hava koşullarında çok iyi fotojenik malzemeler sunan şirin bir kasaba. Siz de gidince bu durumu hissetmişsinizdir. Ama fotoğraf sizin gibi bir ustanın elinden çıkınca, fiziksel koşullar ne olursa olsun sonuç bu örnekte olduğu gibi mükemmel oluyor.

This is the kind of shot that I would like to do, but I always seem to struggle with it. You always seem to be able to make sense of the chaos and be able to find the interesting pattern in a scene, like these roofs. Those small pieces of blue really add a nice accent to the scene too. Well done!

I like very, very much this original vista of this beautiful Portuguese town which you took so well. A good balanced composition, with a lovely contrast of colours and tones and a fine sharpness. Excellent take. Congrats!
