Photographer’s Note
Fes is the oldest of Morocco's imperial cities. It is the embodiment of the country's history and its spiritual and religious capital. Enclosed within its walls, Fes el-Bali, the historic medina, is a sea of rooftops from which emerge minarets and domes.
One of the most remarkable experiences is listening to the call to prayer as it emanates from one minaret then another - the sound literally sweeping across the medina.
