Photographer’s Note
On the way from Siem Reap to a small country village we saw a family working in the rice fields on the way. Everyone was there from the small baby to the old grandma. Was very interesting to hear about their work and how the rice made it from the green plants that we often associate with the rice paddies to the rice that we serve with dinner. And also amazing to see how the entire family took part in the hard work. Made you think about how priviliged children (playing with their gameboys etc. as opposed to being out there "surviving") and also adults are in the Western world.

That touch of red (almost too bright) in the midst of all this green makes a great composition element. Perfect cropping.

Hej Maria,
A pleasure to look at :o)
Flere billeder fra rismarken? :o)

Another approach that the portraits, although it will also close ... The work in the rice fields must be very hard but at least they eat.
