A Little Girl's Dreams in Sugar Bairam Photo

Photographer’s Note

Today is the first day of Sugar (or Ramadan) Bairam in Turkey. The festival have a special place and meaning in life of people.
Meals of Bairam are prepared on the day before. Meals of Bairam generally consist of bread , soup, "Sarma" (a dish of minced meat and rice wrapped up in vine leaves), "Yahni" (meat stew with unions), pilaf, pie, "Sütlaç" (rice-milk) and "Baklava" (Sweet pastry generally cut into diamond-shaped pieces). In the morning of Bairam everybody wakes up early and puts on their new dresses.All family members sit on the table and eat the Bairam meal.Children are made happy by giving them money. Then children of neighbours, elders, friends are visited and their Bairam is congratulated.

Özetle Pelin hayvanları çok seviyor , ama kardeşi Ömer daha küçük olduğundan şimdilik evde sadece su kaplumbağası var.

Keşke yeniden çocuk olsak ve sokaklarda koştursak, hiç düşünmeden, kimseyi önemsemeden yaşasak hayati, ne güzel olurdu değil mi ?

She has such a sweet look, she is a SEKER by herself. Perhaps an deven wider aperture would create some more OUT OF FOCUS Soft regions in the back. the best way is to use a longer focal: I believe that this pretty portrait would be even better then.

Zeynep Hanım, Bayram denilince zaten herkes kendi çocukluğunu hatırlıyor. Şimdi, özellikle büyük kentlerde yaşayan çocukların ileride böyle anılara sahip olamayacağını düşünüyorum ne yazık ki. Notunuzda bahsettiğiniz gelenekler giderek yok oluyor çünkü. Bu şirin portre çalışması ve güzel notunuz vesilesiyle ben de size ve ailenize iyi bir Bayram diliyorum. Selamlar, Tolga

Baklava! That's what I will choose, Zeynep. There were some delicious ones in the exhibition of Izzet :)) Unfortunately, it's not possible to find it anywhere in Lisbon.
Red stripes for the head's girl - but you forgot the white spots... ;-) Beautiful thoughtful face with a good blurred background. The only thing I'm thinking of making it diferently, is too low down to her level to make her dreams bigger. Her face is adorable.

Bravissima, un ritratto pieno di sensibilità con una nitidezza buonissima.
Il nastro a pois in diagonale sui capelli della bimba rende viva la foto.
