Photographer’s Note

Taken in the Shenandoah National Park in Virginia. It's kind of interesting noting the fall foliage with elevation of the location: As one drives towards the Blue Ridge mountains from the east, the fall colors become more apparent at the higher elevations.

techniques: 58 mm circular polarizer, with the camera's white balance set to shadow.

This is a great autumn colors shot! The vertical format is great here providing nice depth and good closeup detail. The lighting and colors are fine with nice sharpness and detail.

A colorfull picture with autumn tones. Blue sky in background is an excellent contrast to warm colors.
