Photographer’s Note

Another view of Porto Budello, the inlet used by local fishermen as a natural harbour, from inside toward outside. In the foreground you can see the fish farming pond and in the background you have the Tower of Piscinnì to the left and the tower of Capo Malfatano at the centre.

Questa è ancora una veduta di Porto Budello, una insenatura utilizzata come porto naturale dai pescatori locali, dall’interno verso l’esterno. In primo piano si può vedere la peschiera mentre nello sfondo si notano due torri, a sinistra quella di Piscinnì e al centro quella di Capo Malfatano.

An example of a good photograph!
I must agree with gracious - the light effect on the water is really great - it is sparkling. I love it.
I also like different hues of blue on this photo - the misty and a bit stormy sky , and blue-grey waters.

impresa ardua gestire tutto quel blu e tutta quella luce... te la sei cavata abbastanza bene.
La lingua di terra in primo piano contribuisce a dare dimensione e senso di profondità al paesaggio.
A Roma diluvia, siamo appena usciti da un blackout di corrente.

luce difficile da gestire senza sovraesposizioni, ma tu ci sei riuscito benissimo dimostrando di conoscere bene i fondamentali della fotografia e i parametri della tua macchina. L'immagine ha una bella profondità e una buona nitidezza. Ottimo lavoro!

Beautiful photo, great framing and composition, I particularly like the light managment and that shining on the sea surface! Beautiful colours! The horizon is tilted but you can easily fix it in PS. Congratulations!

Ciao Donato. Come fatto notare dagli altri amici hai fatto un gran lavoro con la luce. Interessante anche la profondità dalla composzione in più zone. Bellissimi i colori.

Dark rain promising sky makes this special. I like simple scenes with harmonous colours like this. Horizon tilts slightly to right.

This is a lovely seascape! I like the special light and the most beautiful silver shade on the water. You have managed the light very well and created a balanced pleasant composition. Natural and beautiful colours. Your sea is superb and this is one of your best!

vado di fretta per paura dell'ADSL Tiscali.
E' una buona fotografia, non mi esalta molto rispetto ad altre tue, ma devo riconoscere che la situazione di riflessi sul mare non era molto facile.
Forse era possibile ottenere qualcosa di meglio in altra ora della giornata.
Noto leggera pendenza verso destra della linea dell'orizzonte.

splendida composizione, bellissimo il colore del mare dato dai riflessi della luce che hai trovato fantastica, mi piace molto quel palo della luce solitario. Riesco a vedere due torri di avvistamento mi sbaglio?.

Nice to have both a pond and the sea in the same image, with nice silvery reflections on both. The two towers in the background are well visible.

Immagine originale per la luce particolare e la luce piuttosto neutra, che da' un'aspetto argenteo all'acqua. Il palo fa la sua parte, spezzando il ritmo delle linee orizzontali, anche se penalizzato da una leggerissima inclinazione della ripresa.

I like this composition with a lot of see and sky and two horizon lines near the center ...

There's a peacefull and sweet atmosphere and a special light like in your others photos ...

Hi, Donato,

The features of this photo that initially caught my eye are the shimmering sea and brightly lit land against a dark sky.

I like the detail of the utility pole on the right and especially its reflection in the water.

After studying the photo a bit, I thought of some potential improvements, which I've tried through a WS post. The main goal is to put some extra emphasis on the play of light on the rippled sea surface. Have a look?
