An old lady outside the Dirang Monastery. Being not very proficient in taking human closeup shots, took this photograph a bit hesitantly.
Corrected the hue/contrast a little in Photoshop.

Gr8 portrait Paromita...
It has all the potential to be in the big league- wonderfully captured aging lines and fine placement of her close-up in the frame. DOF is also amazing, telling me u were in heaven that time...
I guess her woolen cap is a bit overexposed, but since you mentioned you clicked it hastily, it can be understood...

PS: I've a very deeply guarded desire to visit some places in india, North East being one of them :)

I think this close-up portrait is beautiful! Very neat against the blurred background, which gives it a great effect!
I like the colours, the features and the expression!
