Photographer’s Note
I was sitting on a bench near the church "Sveta Nedelja" with a very good friend of mine when I had a fancy that I needed to share some crumbs of my sandwich with the sparrows that were all around us. They recompensed me by posing for my shot. As concerns the title that is the first part of a German proverb (Lieber den Spatz in der Hand, als die Taube auf dem Dach), which means word for word "Better the Sparrow in the hand than the pigeon on the roof" (A bird in the hand is worth two in the bush).
Bolje vrabac u ruci nego golub na grani.
Lepszy wróbel w garści niż gołąb na dachu.
Лучше воробей в руке, чем петух на кровле.
Jobb ma egy veréb, mint holnap egy túzok.

Hi Zhivko!!
Good image..but why you did not capture the tail...
The color and sharpness are good and blurred background is also fine..
All the best!!
Sunandan.

Hi Zhivko!
That's a very lovely sparrow on your photo. I read the proverb what you wrote. In Hungary it sounds something like this: "It is better to have a sparrow today, than a bustard tomorrow..."
Thanks, Csilla
