Photographer’s Note

When I looked up from the array of colour in the mela, I noticed this pandit hobbling down the street. His concerns floated in the air above him - he was in his own world, so to speak. Behind him, the sunlight filtering through trees created bokeh patterns that seemed to mirror his unsettled thoughts.

Excellent portrait with a beautiful background. The lignt coming from behind him is very well captured and the details of his face very good. I imagined a B/W version, just to see how it is. You can see it on the WS. But is it not at all a negative critique on your photo, which is perfect for me. Best regards,

Very decorous portrait with a nice background blurred beautifully though it seems a bit rear focus. You have captured him carefully making good use of beautiful and soft light. Excellent shot.

I don't know how you gt the low POV, but it works well here. The focussing, as Hisashi stated, may not have been perfect, but nothing much to worry about. Good use of the shallow DOF to isolate the BG. Bhalo hoyechhe! If you don't mind I'm doing a small Workshop..I hope you'll like it

Hi Biswaroop,

This is a great portrait! I like the composition - an offset bust giving direction to the eyes. I like the depth and the patterns of the blurry backdrop.

The pandit looks more troubled than thoughtful perhaps...

Sharpness is extraordinary in this one Biswajit. You used the natural light very well. I like the way the guy is not seeing the camera.
