Tucepi - Beach Photo

Photographer’s Note

One of my favorite places in Croatia.
Tucepi (population 1770) is located 4 km south-east of Makarska. Until the earthquake of 1962, the majority of its inhabitants were living in hamlets at the foot of the mountain Biokovo. Now a popular tourist destination thanks to its glorious coastline.It is distinguished by the most beautiful and longest gravel beach of the Makarska Riviera, a pine wood, olive-groves, luxury hotels, beautiful houses and sports grounds. Rich in natural water springs (the name 'Tucepi' may come from Old Illyrian and mean 'village at the spring').

Zdravo Brano,

A photo from my vicinity, I`ve past through Makarska many times I think, but from the looks of your photo (the swarm of people) I prefer the laid back Sveti Juraj.
A very lovely photo, well composed and shot from the right perspective to make it attractive. It has a nice focus and a lot of depth to it. Good stuff.

P.S: don`t be shy to write to me in Croatian or Bosnian, whatever - I understand everything, but it is hard to gather enough concentration to write a full critique, since it is not my native language.

Summer scene and a nice composition to show the curved beach with a large crowd. Good use of the trees as frame.

I think the contrast and sharpness can be improved by editing.

That's a crowded beach! I really like the way you have it framed with the tree on the top and the water/beach curve.

Brano, Nice photo. I agree with trekks that it could be a little sharper. I thought Bondi Beach was crowded!!!!
In this situation it would be hard, but try to not cut people in half in your photos....

Hi Brano,

I admitt this is quite crowded. When I go to Croatia I pt for some quiter, deserted places - there are so many of the on Croatina coast. Still, this beach looks nice.
