Photographer’s Note
The lady enjoys a probably well desserved rest at Sani village in Zanskar, Northern India.Zanskar is an isolated region in Northern India with a strong buddhist tradition. The region is therefore often called "little Tibet". Life conditions are harsh. There is little rainfall and winters are very cold, isolating the Zanskar area during three to five months per year. Zanskar is accessible through a 250 km track starting from Kargil.

Hello Paul,
very good portrait of an old lady. Judging by her clothes life conditions really are very harsh. But the lady doesn't seem to be angry or displeased with anything. Vice versa, there is even a faint smile on her lips. I wonder what she is thinking about...
Excellent POV, very well balanced composition. Very good natual colours. I like the photo very much.
best regards,
Elena
