More of Emperor Theodosius's wall. Here we see a brick arch which gives added strength.'This device (which enables the wall to remain standing even if the base is sapped) was not again revived in Europe until the 12-13th C.' Blue Guide to Greece

Hello Phil,
An attractive restful shot - light and shade, and the falling of leaves as another autumn passes, and the centuries roll on.
The curved tree trunk, the horizontal lines of brick and the small patch blue sky of make a pleasing composition.
Regards,
Peter.
