Photographer’s Note
This was taken in the Kirstenbosch gardens near Cape Town early in the morning after a rainy night. The white of the flower is so intense that exposing for it made most of the background appear black, and I used PS to completely blacken any areas that were not already black. Also needed PS to brighten the little green tendril at the front of the flower.

Hi Alen
good rendition of one of our endemics. We call it varkoor - pig's ear, in Afrikaans. The waterdrops, the yellow and the curve in the petal all just rivits the eye to the stamen.
