Voici le temple d'Auguste et Livie situé en plein centre de la ville de Vienne. Ce temple antique, sans doute construit aux alentours du 1e ou du 2ème siècle av. JC, est parvenu jusqu'à nous grâce à ses réutilisations successives. Autrefois consacré au couple impérial Auguste et Livie, il a au cours des siècles servi d'église, de tribunal, de bibliothèque ou encore de musée. Il n’existe qu’un seul autre édifice de ce genre en France, c’est la Maison Carrée de Nîmes.
L'architecture est typiquement romaine: il est construit sur un podium que vous pouvez apercevoir ici et il comporte 16 colonnes corinthiennes.
Aujourd'hui il a besoin d'une bonne restauration, qui a d'ailleurs commencée puisque vous pouvez apercevoir des échafaudages ça et là.

En ce qui concerne la photo elle-même, j'aurais aimé pouvoir laisser un peu plus d'espace au dessus du temple mais c'est tout ce que mon 18mm pouvait me donner avec le recul dont je disposais....vivement le 10-20!

Here is the Temple of Augustus and Livia located right in the city center of Vienne, in the South East of France. This ancient temple, probably built around the 1st or 2nd century BC, stood the test of time thanks to its various uses through the ages. Originally dedicated to Augustus and his wife Livia, it has been used as a church, a court of justice, a library or even a museum. It is besides closely similar to the Maison Carrée in Nîmes, which is the only other example of such a building in France.
It is a typically Roman architecture: it was built on a podium, of which you can catch a glimpse here, and sixteen Corinthian columns. Nowadays, it is in need of a restoration, that has already started as you can make out some scaffolding here and there.

About the picture itself, I wished I had been able to add some more space in the upper part but that was all my 18mm and the wall behind me allowed me to catch. I can't wait to get my hands on this 10-20!
