Blue Majorelle Photo

Photographer’s Note

Jacques Majorelle (March 7, 1886 - October 14, 1962), was French painter. He studied at the École des Beaux-Arts in Nancy in 1901 and later at the Académie Julian in Paris with Schommer and Royer. In 1919 he went to Marrakech, Morocco to recover from heart problems. He returned to France in 1962 after a car incident and died later that year of complications from his injuries.
His biggest art work is said to be Majorelle Garden which he created in 1924. A special colour of blue which he used extensively in the garden is named after him, Majorelle Blue. I took this shot in the most important garden's building. Regards

in effetti e' impossibile non restare affascinati dal blu di questo giardino e dall' atomosfera che vi si respira - cosi al centro del caos di Marrakech e allo stesso tempo cosi tranquilla.
mi piace molto il tuo scatto, con la grata decentrata e l'azzurro saturo - io ne avevo fatta una simile, ma con una grata bianca...

Hello Paolo,

A photo like a painting for the famous garden and house of Majorelle. You play totally the opposition of color between the yellow and the blue and the photo is quite minimalistic in the number of elements in the frame, focusing still more the look on the color.
Very well managed with a good idea,

allora questo e' decisamente un grande ritorno due foto in una settimana , stai riprendendo il ritmo?
questa e' bellissima con l'azzurro intenso a far da cornice ad una altrettanto bella finestra.
