Intro: I've loved photography throughout my life. It connects me with people, places, nature and the wealth and depth of colors, shadows and shapes where ever I go. As I work with issues of what I consider to be basic human rights, photography helps me internalize and express the depth and richness we have as human beings and also our environments, no matter where we live or how much material possessions we have.

In the in the 80s and 90s I mainly used Olympus OM 1,2 and 4 cameras and a Nikon F401. Since 2001 I've progressively moved digitally to from a Canon PowerShot S110, Sony Cybershot to a Lumix DMC TZ1. In August 2008 I bought a Nikon F4 and Nikon D300. What a joy! Both cameras are very impressive and who says cameras don't make the photographer... I touch up pictures mainly with Adobe Photoshop.
