| Présentation: | I have been interested in landscape photography for many years and until 2005 worked almost exclusively with transparency film. This was then scanned using ScanWit 2720s scanner followed by minor image manipulation in PaintShop and/or Photoshop. I also occasionally used a digital compact camera, but found the long delay after pressing the shutter button extremely frustrating. I finally made the jump to digital SLR with the purchase of the Canon EOS 5D in October 2005. I had delayed the move previously due to the absence of a full frame camera at an affordable price. I was previously unwilling to make the move and lose the benefit of the w/a lens due to the cropping factor of affordable dSLR cameras. This site is a tremendous help in developing both ideas and skills. I hate having my own picture taken so you won't see any offerings from me with people as the main subject. If I don't like it, I don't see why I should assume others do! You may see the occasional person in the frame to provide scale though. | |
