| Présentation: | Hey there! Time for a profile overhaul, its been time. My name is Miha, I`m 24, from Kamnik, Slovenia. It`s a little town on the edge of the southern end of the Alps (poetically, where the Alps end, finito), some 25km north of Ljubljana. Most of my photos from Slovenia feature at least some part of the mountainous scenery around my home. Although I live in a relatively small country, I only have photos that are shot in the vicinity - something I think I will remedy in the time to come, by - perhaps - taking a little trip to some other parts of the country, if there is enough free time. On the other hand I`ve said that many times, so I really have to bite my lip. My photos consist of nothing too dramatic, eccessive or otherwise breathtaking, because I`m one of those sunday photographers, who take minimal risk - not willing to run after a bear for the sake of the photo, or pointing a camera at a coincidental stranger on the street. I think I quite often miss an opportunity to shoot something extraordinary, because to me, most of the times a rusty bike is just a rusty bike, not an artpiece, or a shadow is just something people throw around randomly, if you know what I mean. :) Traveling, huh: Something I`d like to do ... a lot. I`ve only just recently got the taste for it, and the scent is becoming ever more captivating. Most of the traveling I`ve done was interrailing through southern and central Europe. I like traveling with the train because its rather cheap with Interrail, effective and you get to see a lot of the scenery. I think its also more romantic then traveling by other means. So if my next destination happens to be in Europe, I`ll definitely do another IR trip. Hopefully to the north of the continent (though I doubt Norway - "a bit" out of my price range). My hobbies beside traveling and photographing are reading (especially science fiction - fav. author Heinlein), and of course fine food and drinks, I also dance, but thats just not something anyone would like to see. ;) TrekEarth: A fine site. I`ve met many new friends here, from all parts of the globe, and I hope some day I`ll meet them - and get to see there homelands. We get to learn much here by self-scrutiny and scrutiny of others. I believe that an honest and balanced (but not cruel) critique ("I like that, on the other hand ..") is always appreciated, and counts a lot. Its also hard to analyze photos objectively since its a pretty subjective thing, and we are not professional photographers (most of us at least), therefore "what you like, and what you dont" is an appropriate thing. *** My next destination: Around Slovenia (most definitely) June 26th: A week in Ireland My dreamlike destinations (something I`ll get to see when I`m 64 ... maybe): 1.
