| Présentation: | New intro photo, after a great day out shooting with Kev and Francis in the Xmas break. Thanks Kev (KevRyan). I am a university lecturer living in the UK midlands. I get to travel quite a lot (last year 6 trips abroad) for conferences and other work related activities, and I've now got quite a taste for it. As a family we also like to visit places on holiday where it's more interesting to engage with the culture than to sit on the beach. I started carrying a compact Nikon in my pocket about 9 years ago, and found that I took far more photos than when I had to sling an SLR around my neck. Update on equipment. I've now got an even smaller pocket digital, a Canon Ixus i. I've also decided I can't live without the SLR control I used to like, so I've recently bought an EOS 20D, still don't like humping such a big thing around, but it's worth it. | |
