| Présentation: | I finally got a new camera, Nikon D50 at the end of December 2005. Still experimenting and trying to get the hang of it. I really like to travel and see new places, landscapes and buildings. I love nature, wildlife, plants and natural landscapes. Update 2/4/2006: I'm still enjoying participating in TrekEarth and learning a lot from it. I find that looking at the sorts of images others post enables me to better evaluate what sorts of images please me and also sometimes, the elements in them I find less to my taste. Hopefully I can put that to good effect in the field and compose my pictures better in camera. I'm also, I think, going to re-evaluate the way I critique. I have fallen into a habit of generally giving 2 points, even though I try to be honest in the way I write the critiques - for fear of causing offence. But I think I would prefer a more honest approach going forward - and really hope this doesn't offend anyone. I will continue to give 2 points where I genuinely and personally feel the image warrants that, but I will also give less points if I find the images disappoint in some way. Also, I don't always have enough time to critique all of the images I would like to - but again please don't be offended if I don't critique your latest image - it is more about lack of time than anything personal - honest! I also hope that you will feel able to critique or not, and award points or not, to any of the images I post which catch your attention or imagination for whatever reason. Regards Peter | |
