This is a really good potrait
But I suggest to change it to Black and White instead of sephia.
And also I do sharpening using high pass filter, to capture more lines detail in his face

Cropped the photo. Replaced the mountain with sky using the clone tool. Sharpened whole image.

It's not a perfect job, but I hope it proves my point about the problem being that mountain.

- Rotated the photo CW in order to give it a documentary "catch the moment" kind of look
- cropped the useless perimeter
- curves shadows 14

Straigtened the horizon, sacrificing a little off the left hand side of the trunk. Also slight crop to focus more on the size of the elephant.
