Intro: Having climbed up Everest blindfolded and swum the Atlantic with one arm tied behind my back ;), I was in need of a new challenge and so decided to take up photography. I now realise what I took on. The rule of thirds, ISO, aperture, white balance setting, bracketing. And that's before you start trying to use Photoshop!

Still a novice trying to grapple with the basics, occasionally producing a half decent shot, but most importantly having fun with my digital camera. Continually inspired by the many beautiful shots on TrekEarth and trying to learn from them. Please feel free to be honest about my work.

Must go now, there's a man eating lion needs photographing on the plains of the Serengeti. What shutter speed should I use?
