| Présentation: | I've been photographing since I was very young. My father who was a photographer by profession allowed me to use his Roleiflex when I was 5, and that's when I started doing my own darkroom work too. Although photography not being my chosen profession, it is my chosen passion, and I have spent much of my time photographing architecture for publication, and the natural scenes of the wonderful area where I live. I look forward to being able to express some of the social aspects of my area of the world, sometimes overlooked by slot canyons and red-rock vistas. Black and White is my mainstay, the natural abstraction from reality and the attention focused on texture and contrast allows for wonderful creative and interpretive opportunities. I enjoy the view camera experience when quickly emerging scenes are not unfolding. It allows for contemplation of the visualization of the resulting image in ways that I have found counterfeit on more instant cameras. That all said, where did I put my D200? |
