I have decided to go through the gallery and add more of my favourite photos and photographers to reflect the extent to which I am impressed with the work on this site. Have a look!

(original profile, submitted in 2003) Hello, travel buffs and photographers. At last I found you. Now I can share my photographs from over 30 years of travelling through more than 36 countries with you. My husband and I have taken some trips of a year or longer. We like to travel independently, usually by public transit. We carry two backpacks, a camera a camcorder and a typewriter.

I shoot slides exclusively, which usually end up in travelogues that I show at my camera club, libraries, seniors' homes and other public presentations. Some of my travel photographs also make their way into magazines and advertising brochures. But writing is my real passion so I will soon be including some travel stories with the photos for your enjoyment.

(Updated profile in 2007:) Digital at last! I've got a new Sony Cybershot DSC-H9 with a Zeiss 15X zoom that gives 31mm-465mm focal length. Wish me luck.

Re TE participation: Although I have been a member for several years, I am a sporadic contributor. Many of you have selected hundreds of favourite photos and photographers. There are so many outstanding photographers on TE that I have trouble keeping up with my lists of favourites. Also, my selection of images to critique is unplanned. I just critique whatever happens to catch my eye while I'm online. As for workshops, I try to comment on images I know I can make a contribution to, whether by sharing some inspiration that image has prompted, or a suggestion for improvement. Doing workshops on other members' images has improved MY post production skills tremendously. Thank you for the opportunity to play with your images.
