| Présentation: | In this picture I was not smiling because I was doing a serious self-portrait, but if you met me in person you would know that I smile a lot. Some people might think I smile too much, but I don't think it's possible to smile too much. :) My name is Erin, and I am an American girl who has been living in Romania for about 4 months now. I am enjoying getting to know this new culture and meeting the wonderful people of this country. I have degrees in graphic design and English education, and I am currently a teacher of children. I took this job because I think it is a good way for me to help people and also experience this part of the world. My dream of a perfect life would be to travel the world taking photos, and publishing my best shots in big, glossy coffee-table books. But I would have to become a better photographer first. :) I like trying many different kinds of photos, but I think my favorite will always be the portrait. People are so interesting and wonderful, and photography can capture a little bit of what makes them special! My favorite subject is children. They have a special innocence and joy that reminds me of how wonderful life can be. When I take pictures of children, I try to capture that special little spark of beauty that is inside each child. I know I am not the most talented photographer, but I hope that some of my photos will be interesting or inspiring to you. Thanks for your critiques and encouraging comments!
