I was very curious to know how it would look like in BW with all those bright leaves on the shadowed pathway and the lights between the trees. I did it very quick adjusting brightness and contrast but was always over highlighting the face of the dog but wanted to stretch the darkest and brightest values. Thank you...

This is a wonderful sample of Flemish "painting". I liked very much this nice composition, John!!

In this case I have only reduced the down part of your excellent capture and I saved it without the frames. Unfortunately I deleted your signature, but it was not voluntarily!!

I used Adobe Photoshop Elements 4.0 to fill layer for sky and adjust lighting to darken highlights on the entire image.

I've corrected the histogram (all three channels) and then, after cloning the existing white halo and reducing the noise of the image, I've applied levels, shadows/highlights and a slight sharpening.

This is really one of the top captures in all TE-Galery, John!!

I personally like very much this composition. It is an absolutely perfect photo, my friend!!

Allow me, please, to introduce only a little different option: no frames and focussed in the middle point of all composition.

First, I did some "repairs" on the roof of the house, then I've applied levels, curves, shadows/highlights and a very slight sharpening and, finally, I've recovered the sky.

This is absolutely excellent capture, John!!
I had a curiosity to see a option without the frames.
Obviously the picture cannot better. Only a central subjet is highlighted.

I hope you agreed that is not very bad option!!
