Intro: UPDATE: NOVEMBER 2007 - Dear friends, I am on a TE break due to work related and medical issues, but hope to return soon to the TE community to which I remain passionately committed.

I am a published author and country lawyer who enjoys photography and has much to learn. As one travels the circle of life, one often returns to roots, and for me that is travelling around rural areas - British Columbia, the Canadian Maritimes, Britain, the United States and Europe primarily, and enjoying solitude. Having said that, I do enjoy exploring historic cities. I have just ventured into the world of digital photography and am quite happy with the Canon 20D, though I still sling my old Canon loaded with slide film over my shoulder. TrekEarth is truly the very best international photography club of all, and one not only learns how to improve techniques, but to meet new friends and learn so much about the world - I find that it awakens one to the international community far more than newspapers or television.
