| Présentation: | I specialize in photogravure, where the photo is transferred to a copperplate, etched, and printed with etching ink on hand-made paper or Japanese washi, using an etching press. The variable depth of ink on paper gives photogravure a unique tonal range, archival permanence, and the possibility of using a great variety of inks and papers. Many examples of the prints are viewable at my website, The Kamakura Print Collection > www.kamprint.com. The site also has essays on the history of photogravure, how-to instructions, collecting and framing tips, links, and comments from visitors.
