| Présentation: | Born on 7.5.1942 in İstanbul, Turkey. I am an economist and worked for almost 35 years in different managing positions of a major Holding Company (Koç Group of Companies) of Turkey. Photography is been my main hobby since more than 50 years. I have used cameras like Rolleiflex twin lense, Asahi-Pentax 6x7; different Nikon bodies with many different lenses. Still keep my darkroom (!) ; but since almost four years I use a very simple Kodak digital camera (Z 650), fully satisfied ! I have many prizes in different competitions both in Turkey and outside. Opened sofar 5 exhibitions. My favorite theme is the antique city of Aphrodisias in Karia (western Anatoly)which I visit since almost 25 years now, and have an archive of approximately 25.000 dia's and prints from almost all phases of the excavations there. I am also the member of the board of the Geyre foundation, which supports the excavations in Aphrodisias. I am an amateur painter as well and since my retirement end of 2001 I spent more time in painting and travelling. Married, 2 children and 3 grandchildren (two girls and one boy) . Ekonomistim ve 35 yıl boyunca Türkiyenin en büyük Holdinglerinden biri olan Koç Holdingin çeşitli kuruluşlarında üst yönetici görevlerinde bulundum. Fotoğraf ile 50 yıldan beri hobi olarak uğraşıyorum. Rolleiflex (6x6), Asahi-Pentax (6x7), çeşitli Nikon gövdeler ve objektiflerle çalıştım. Karanlık odamı hala muhafaza ediyorum ! Dört seneden bu yana, çok basit ve ucuz bir dijital kamera ile çalışıyorum: Kodak Z 650, ve de son derece memnunum ! Türkiye ve Türkiye dışında pek çok yarışmaya katıldım, ödüller aldım. Bugüne kadar 5 kişisel sergi açtım. Favori temam Karya bölgesindeki (Batı Anadolu) Afrodisyas antik kenti. 25 yıldan daha fazla bir süredir burayı periyodik olarak ziyaret ederim. Bu güzel antik kentte yapılan ve yapılmakta olan kazıların hemen her evresini belgeleyen 25.000in üstünde diam ve baskım var. Afrodisyasdaki kazılara destek sağlayan Geyre Vakfının da yönetim kurulu üyesiyim. Amatör ressamım ve 2001 yılı sonunda emekli olduğum günden bu yana, zamanımın çoğunu, resim yaparak, fotoğraf çekerek ve seyahat ederek geçiriyorum. Evliyim, 2 çocuğum ve biri erkek, ikisi kız, üç torunum var.
