- Born in Naples (Italy), I live in Amsterdam (The Netherlands) since 1988.
I came in touch with photography as a kid, when my uncle let me use his Voigtländer (a 1940 Bessa). Many years later, during my university years at the Biology Faculty, I was asked to make some photographs to illustrate the field work I was conducting with some colleagues. The photography virus hit me again.
My tendency to mess around with computers led to my present job as Level 2 Senior Engineer, at an international IT Company, which is quite an hectic occupation and leaves me very few free time for photography.
I normally shoot with my old faithful Olympus OM-2n mounting a Tamron 70-210-f/2.8 and using Diafilm. Recently, I bought an Olympus C-765uz and I'm starting to experiment with digital photography. I use Photoshop and NeatImage to correct the color of the scanned originals, to sharpen and crop the composition.
I'm not much of a traveler, since I find lots of interesting things just outside my door. That's also why I like TE. By browsing its pages, my curiosity about other Countries can be satisfied either way.
My biggest "obsession" is, however, music. My Homepage is mostly about music. I have on that site also a small portfolio of those images that I didn't place on TE (yet). You may want to have a peek. - Member Since
