| Présentation: | Welcome to my gallery! Latest news (September 08): Had a good time in Italy with lots of phantastic light and sublime moments in the mountains. Took many pictures...now I'm picking my best of the lot. ________________________________________________ I'm 49 and a musician and music teacher. I grew up in Guatemala and have been living mainly in Berlin since 1978. After Germany's reunification I started exploring Berlin's surroundings and the landscapes of the regions of Brandenburg and Saxony. During school holydays I often stay for several weeks in NE Italy (Friuli). I've been a member since 2003. This came about at first, because I wanted to 'travel' trough this wonderful world, reaching places where I possibly will never get to. The pictures I was getting to admire where stunning and the contributions and critiques of members encouraging and enlighting. Being very often outdoors and as since my childhood I've been a lover of landscapes, I started trying my chances at taking pictures during my walks and mountainbike tours, mainly to document and remember them. After some time I realized that an old passion was coming back to life... my father had a mythic Leica M3 which he allowed me to use now and then when I was a teenager. I remember getting quite enthusiastic about that precious! Those were the beginnings of my love for photography. I started posting most of my photos in the fall of 2007. I'm working too at improving my skills in music-concert photography, which fascinates me. A good part of my motivation I owe to TE and its community: many intros, pictures, comments and critiques in TE are an inspiration and a source of knowledge! It is a gift to keep on learning and to share my images and notes. - Thanks to you all and a special one to Adam Silverman for creating this site. I can communicate in english, spanish, italian, portuguese, german and, to some extent, in french. So, feel free to use your own language if it is one of the above mentioned. ________________________________________________ Updates -January 2008: Got my first DSLR!!! A Samsung GX-10. I hope there will soon be better pictures to share with you! -June 2008 Extended my equipment with some filters and a Tamron 18-250mm lens. This baby rocks! -September 2008 Got a battery grip for the GX-10 ________________________________________________ Point ratings and nice words can be very stimulating. Nevertheless, I hope they will encompass your creative and sincere critiques or comments. I'll answer and/or to go to your gallery as soon as possible! :-) | |
