| Présentation: | Personal website: www.toddadams.net 36 year old photographer/writer from Nashville, TN. I first picked up a serious camera (a Pentax Spotmatic) at age 14. I started shooting professionally when I moved to Nashville in 1991, shooting mostly portraits for music industry clients. Since beginning photography, I've shot just about anything... abstracts, concert shots, travel, sports, photojournalism, and some commercial work. I'm now leaning toward travel and adventure photography, mostly because I can afford to travel more now than in the past. Ironically, I've traveled a lot (17 countries, 48 states) but only recently took an interest in shooting travel related pictures. Of all the styles of photography that I've attempted, travel photography is the newest to me. I'm definitely still on a learning curve with it. With every trip I take and every photo I see from other photographers, I learn a little bit more about what makes a good travel photo and what appeals to me most. So far, my photography and/or writing has appeared in Conde Nast Traveler, CNN.com, ABC News, Rolling Stone, Reader's Digest, PBS, Washington Weekly, The Nashville Scene, InReview, the Nashville City Paper, Internet ASCII (a Japanese magazine), the Tennessean, NewsTrolls.com, and Cross Rythms (a British music magazine). I have also happily donated my work for use by non-profit aid organizations, such as Union Aid Abroad. In addition, I was also editor of the now-defunct online music magazine Indie Scene. | |
