.. that was interesting to observer. These people would have only passed by if the pianist/artist did not have this brilliant communication skill with the crowd ... You perfectly spotted the situation, in such events, people only 'consume' the show .. in this case they fully & happily participate to the choral ... This is where you realize that in a consumist & indvidualist society, you just need a little of something (music?) or someone (pianist) to trigger and create an opportunity for people to enjoy sharing and doing together ...
