Hi Bill I have seen quite a few old photos on TE - but I doubt anyone could beat Gert Holmertz's collection. He just seems to have an endless supply from so many different destinations. They all seem to be in good order and I am sure they were taken with quality equipment as he is a foreign news reporter. By comparision my old photos are those of a 1970's backpacker - they are few in number, the camera I used was inferior and the slides have deteriorated over the years. On the plus side I have a couple of quality Nikon scanners as I now have a little home-based business scanning such slides into digital format - www.slidesrevived.com.au It is good to get positive feedback on photos such as this one as I had previously decided it wasn't good enough to post - in other words I had to spend a bit of time with it in photoshop.
