| Hi James, From what I can tell, assistance has been (rightly) focused on the injured and homeless. A facebook page called L'Aquila Renaissance - Helping L'Aquila and Abruzzo , but consists mostly of immediate assistance for the injured and homeless. The architect and owner of the Albergo Diffuso Sextantio, Daniele Kihlgren, notes "differently from Aquila, in our mountain village of Santo Stefano di Sessanio, where we have our “albergo diffuso” hotel, the impact, beside the ancient tower, has remained very marginal." The Sextantio folks have done such a terrific job restoring large portions of Santo Stefano di Sessanio to the original, I'm sure they're working now on a plan to rebuild the tower as well. -Karl |
