These are my favourite pictures, taken by me.

What I have considered -
1. The aesthetic appeal & mood of the picture of course
2. The difficulty in taking the shot. Now this is one aspect, the viewer wouldn't know when seeing the final product, but as the photographer, I would know. This can involve timing, light conditions & how I managed to compose & take the shot despite difficulties faced.

Accompanying Sandip to Russel Market in Bangalore. Post sundown shots, mostly shot inddors. A learning experience for me shooting with Sandip.

Delhi, where a empire rose and fell before the dawn of history; where citadels of emperors appeared and disappeared; a city of mysterious eternity whose old ruins proclaim a majestic and imperial past and whose present pulsates vibrantly with the ever flowing life of India. Having been the capital of several empires in ancient India, many ancient monuments, archaeological sites and remains of national importance have been erected in its history. This is my tribute to these monuments.

Durga Puja – for Bengalis this is much more than a festival. It is at this time that art, creativity & culture are whipped up to their frenzied & vibrant best, complimenting the religious fervour this festival generates.

I have tried do some some experiments during this time, experiments with POV, experiments with framing & with DOF...all for trying to show the grand festival in a different manner. Hopefully you'll enjoy.
