Up and down the coast are perhaps the most note worth buildings in New England, here are a few of them.
Battle of Concord (10 photos) by Greg Davis (Greg1949)
(9011)
This battle set much in motion, it took three minutes on the morning of April 19, 1775. The importance is still being discussed and the number of people devoting their lives to explaining the event are many. I will spend many hours learning more I am sure but I represnt this event here with three pictures.
Colonial New England Structuers (15 photos) by Greg Davis (Greg1949)
(9011)
These buildings and structures have their roots in the early settlers in New England. Some are original, some are reconstructed but all are the United States' link to the time of it's birth.
Visitors to the US seem to do a better job of documenting us but being here full time I have the luxury of time to go find some of these interesting but low key sites. I am learning as I go and I hope you all find it interesting and helpful.

Traditional America (12 photos) by Greg Davis (Greg1949)
(9011)
Since the first settlements in North American the communities established what they saw as the roots of their society. Those buildings are slowly coming under the wrecker's ball. They for the most part are being replaced by disposable structures. I think collecting views of these edifices is a worthwhile task...
Massachusetts Industrial Period (8 photos) by Greg Davis (Greg1949)

In the lands outside Boston there are many rivers and streams that cascade down from the mountains. This falling water was the power for the textile and paper mills that came to dot their shores.
Costal North Carolina (7 photos) by Greg Davis (Greg1949)
(9011)
The coast of North Carolina is protected by a series of barrier islands, some of which are called the Outter Banks. The Gulfstream pushed early shipping traffic in toward the coast and violent storms in league with the shoal waters caused the area to come to be known as "The Graveyard of the Atlantic".
Today it is beautiful country that hoasts millions of tourists during the summer months. The activities for which the area is know are the beaches, the fishing and the scuba diving.

Korean Rice Farming (5 photos) by Greg Davis (Greg1949)
(9011)
This is the story of Korean rice growing. When I arrived here I didn't know how it was cultivated or even what the mature plants looked like. Now I find it facinating and very interesting how the plant changes color and shape and size over the growing season. It is certainly a very photogenic subject.
