Saturday the 28 of October a few TE members from Spain, UK, and the Netherlands had a little meeting in Amsterdam.
This theme is created to gather pictures of that very nice event.

In this theme I collect the pictures that you chose as a favourite.
I feel honoured by that.

I created this theme, to gather the images that Isabel, and I, made during Isabel's trip to Europe.
That included the TE-weekend of MAY 13-14, our trip to England where we stayed at Richard's place, and our trip to Paris with Michael.

Miguel Parra and I were in Rome, Miguel for two days and I was there for four days. I want to collect our pictures in this theme.
It was very nice to meet each other after 'meeting' and supporting each other on TE.

I cross the bridge ever day, and it is a delight to be on top of it. The wind feels free, the view tyowards the Erasmus and the harbour carnes is beautiful, and at night the dark ribbon of that beautiful river Maas, is so nice to look at.
Besides, when coming from the city, you have a beautiful view on 'my island’.
Enough reasons to create a theme for this bridge.

Bert and I sometimes go hunting in Rotterdam. After a Surinam dinner we biked along the Leuvehaven, which is the museum harbour, we both got the idea of going hunting by night. So, last night was our first try, we both liked it very much, aan we will certainly do it again.

José Elias started this fight with the first picture in the theme, declaring war to the Dutch windmills, silly enough if you ask me. I picked up the challenge, and answered him in a proper (Dutch) way. And more people are joining in, on the Dutch side, that is......

The Dutch war council has decided that only pictures of warriors are allowed that have been posted after Dom José's declaration of war on August 5. An exception is made for 'Rose of the Night'.

Rotterdam has some great events that return every year, like the Marathon, the Summer Carnival, Day of the Romantic Music, the World Port Days, etc.

Because of Bert's picture, and the appearing of a number of other pictures on TE of this superb bridge, I decided to create this theme.

The original design of the Bridge was made in 1989 by Ben van Berkel. The building started in 1994 and ended in 1996.
The bridge is a real landmark for Rotterdam and got the 'pet name' "Swan", (de zwaan).
The pylon is 139 mtrs. high.
